Wide receiver Zachariah Branch just had one of the best seasons in Georgia football history. He came to Athens from USC last offseason and only spent one season with Georgia before declaring for the NFL Draft, but that one season was one that UGA fans will remember forever.

Branch declared for the NFL Draft immediately after UGA's season ended, but he shared one more heartfelt message to Georgia on Thursday before he officially heads off to the NFL Draft.

Zachariah Branch is a DGD forever

Branch was a very good player during his two seasons at USC. He quickly became known as one of the best athletes in the country and someone who will absolutely become an NFL player one day. But he never reached his full potential at USC, but he absolutely did this past year at Georgia.

Branch finished the 2025 season with 81 receptions for 811 yards and six touchdowns. Those are all very good stats, but it's his 81 receptions that will be remembered forever. Those 81 catches were enough to set the single season receptions record at Georgia, which is a record that may never be broken.

Branch did still have one year of eligibility remaining, but after the year he had no one was expecting him to come back to Georgia. That is the decision he ultimately made, but that doesn't take away from all the great things he did in a Georgia uniform.

Branch should be remembered for all the good he did for Georgia even though he only spent on year with the program. Without Branch Georgia probably doesn't win the SEC this year, so even though his time in Athens is already over he should always be remembered for all the great things he did.

And this final message he sent to Georgia will cement the legacy he is leaving behind.
