Georgia Bulldogs Recruiting: Dawgs add two more defensive commits for 2015
Wednesday was an unexpectedly good day for the Georgia Bulldogs recruiting class of 2015, with two very good defensive players giving their verbal commitment to the Dawgs.

Earlier in the day, 3-star cornerback Deandre Baker (Miami, Fl./Northwestern HS) made his announcement that he was commiting to Georgia. This one was a bit of a surprise, not that the UGA staff hadn’t been recruiting Baker, but the early commitment wasn’t expected.
Baker chose Georgia over Clemson, Kentucky, Cincinnati and dozens of other offers. A great pickup for the class of 2015

Baker is a corner with excellent cover skills, and a lot of upside. From Dawgs247.com:
"Deandre Baker was a bit of an unheralded 2015 prospect, but per Jc Shurburtt, Georgia unearthed a player with ‘elite coverage skills’ from South Florida."
The Dawgs second commitment of the day came in the form of an elite 4-star linebacker, Gary McCrae (Cuthbert, GA/Randolph Clay), who picked Georgia over offers from Michigan State, Kentucky, Louisville and North Carolina, among others.

Said Dawgs247.com about McCrae:
"Georgia’s second commitment on a busy Wednesday was a prospect on the rise and a ‘no-brainer, elite recruit,’ according to 247Sports’ Barton Simmons."
These two defensive commits give the Bulldogs 11 total for the class of 2015, and has boosted the overall ranking of the class to tenth in the 247sports.com overall rankings, and up to 13th in the ESPN.com class rankings. It looks as though having new defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt on staff is already paying some dividends. It will be great to see more of the nation’s top defensive players want to come to Athens to learn under coach Pruitt.
