The 6-foot-2, 199 pound Stanley committed to the Bulldogs on August 16 over offer from Auburn, Oregon, and Miam, among others.
How this will affect his commitment to the Dawgs is not yet clear, as he still has three official visits left to take, with one of them being in Athens.
Stanley’s allusion to “winning state” was in regards to his desire to help bring another GHSA AAAAA state championship to Creekside, who won the title last season.
Ranked as the No. 22 overall player in the state of Georgia, and the No. 26 wide receiver in the nation, Stanley was a nice grab for the 2015 class which was in need of receivers.
There has been no word as to a surgery date for Stanley, or what this means for his recruiting overall. Without a senior season to prepare, it may be tough for him to jump into a major college program in 2015 without a redshirt.
