The Georgia recruiting class of 2015 took another ding today, as 3-star wideout Shaquery Wilson announced he has flipped his commitment to West Virginia.

Wilson, out of Miami, Fl. (Coral Gables HS) had committed to Georgia in June, but was apparently not pleased with the direction the offensive staff took after the departure of Mike Bobo and Will Friend.

The 6’3 wide receiver was supposed to take another official visit to Florida, but has cancelled that after his OV to West Virginia and in-home meeting with the Mountaineers staff.

This is the second wide receiver to de-commit from Georgia in the past week, the first being 4-star prospect Van Jefferson, and the position now has to become an area of concern for the recruiting staff in Athens. Georgia’s two top receivers have exhausted their eligibility, with Malcolm Mitchell and Justin Scott-Wesley — while talented players — rarely in the lineup for injury or other reasons.

Losing a commit always hurts, but losing one to a middling Big 12 program like West Virginia is a bit of a gut punch, and hopefully won’t cause a domino effect in the week leading up to National Signing Day.

Darius Slayton, Jayson Stanley and Michael Chigbu are the remaining wide receiver commits for Georgia’s 2015 class, and the Bulldogs can’t afford to lose any of them at this point.
