Georgia Football: Top Recruit Not Ready To Commit
Five-star wide receiver and Georgia football target Kyle Davis has postponed his recruitment decision after uncertainty about which SEC school to choose.
Kyle Davis (6’3″ 215), the Lawrenceville, Georgia and Archer High School wide receiver was set to choose which college he would attend Friday night prior to his school’s game against Central Gwinnett High School.
According to Chad Simmons of Scout.com, Davis has been struggling with the decision and said, “it’s a tough decision and I just don’t think I am ready.”

Regardless of this news, Georgia still remains as one of his top three choices. The 31st best prospect in the country (#1 WR) according to ESPN; Davis would be a huge pickup for the Bulldogs.
In the past, Georgia has had no problem luring in top talent at the receiver position. They nabbed top-five recruit A.J. Green in 2008 and Malcolm Mitchell (#45 recruit) in 2011.
On the other hand, the issues the team has had passing the ball over the past two seasons has resulted in a downgrade in receiver production. This makes it a little bit harder to convince Davis to come to Georgia. To attract a player of his caliber, the recruiting team in Athens may need to sell him on the future. That future of course is Jacob Eason.

Combining a five-star quarterback with a five-star receiver gets even the most casual fan excited. Think about what that tandem could put together, especially with the threat of play-action thanks to the already great Georgia backfield.
There is no news on when Davis will make his decision, but he is enrolling in school in January. So, it seems that his mind will be made up sooner rather than later.
