Georgia Football: Nation’s Best Considering UGA (video)
The Georgia football team still has a shot at nabbing the nation’s No. 1 overall recruit.
So you’re saying there’s a chance!
Rashan Gary, the nation’s No. 1 high school player for the 2016 class, has decided on the fourth of five official visits he plans to take. According the Chris Kirschner of SEC Country, Gary plans to visit Ole Miss this weekend ahead of their game against LSU. This comes in addition to his September visit to Michigan, his November 28th trip to Auburn, and his official to USC in January.

Kirschner also added that the three schools fighting for Gary’s final official visit are Alabama, LSU, and UGA.
A defensive tackle out of Paramus, New Jersey, Gary has baffled scouts with his 6-foot-5, 293-pound frame.
Georgia once again has a top ten recruiting class thus far, sitting at No. 5 according to 247Sports. Unlike Alabama and others in year’s past, the Bulldogs continue to build their core of each recruiting class around three and four stars with the addition of one five star. Currently, Georgia has 17 commitments (1 five-star, 8 four-star, 8 three-star) topped by Jacob Eason, the No. 1 pro-style quarterback in the country.
The addition of Gary would give the Dawgs an unusual twist that they do not see very often. It would give them a pair of five-stars, and the nation’s best.

Now, to Georgia fans this seems to make perfect sense, but the connection between Gary and UGA has not seemed to pick up much steam in his recruiting process. Also, the Dawgs are competing against Alabama and LSU for just the chance to compete against four other top tier schools for Gary.
Take this news as a small positive and pray that the coaching staff continues to put in the time and effort to sell Gary on Georgia. With no timetable on when he is to make his decision, every day that passes is important when it comes to this guy.
