Georgia football is ranked inside the top 5 of the AP Poll and is coming off an impressive win at Tennessee two weeks ago. But even after this great start to the season, there is a lot they need to improve on before facing Alabama this weekend.

Thankfully the Bulldogs are coming off their bye week where they hopefully addressed some of the concerns seen through the first three games of the season.

One of those areas that has been lackluster that needs to show signs of life against the Crimson Tide is the Bulldogs' pass rush who has somehow only mustered four sacks so far this season.

Georgia needs to get to the quarterback against Alabama

Georgia so far this season has only recorded four sacks through three games. And considering two of their three opponents were much worse than Georgia, it is not a good sign that they were only able to get home to the quarterback four times.

Georgia's elite pass rush has been one of the biggest reasons why they have been so dominant in the Kirby Smart era. The defense has always been able to get to the quarterback multiple times and create these big plays when they need it most. Unfortunately that has not happened so far this season.

Looking at the one game Alabama lost this season to Florida State, the Seminoles were able to record three sacks against the Crimson Tide. That is a very good number against a team like Alabama, so if Georgia wants to come away victorious they need to find a way to generate a few sacks as well.

The Bulldogs are good enough where they can still win this game even if they can't take the quarterback down, but if they can rack up a few sacks that would greatly improve their chances of twinning this weekend..
