Georgia football and Kirby Smart continue to load up on upcoming visits from star players in the 2026 recruiting class. While Smart has always prioritized recruiting players from all over the country, which was seen in a few other players announcing visits to Georgia, another thing that has always been extremely important is recruiting the state of Georgia very well.

And it appears that continues to be a priority for Smart and his staff as two of the best recruits from Georgia in the 2026 class have just announced upcoming visits to Athens.

4-star safety Nassir McCoy

The first player to announce a future visit to Georgia is four-star safety Nassir McCoy, who is a very exciting prospect.

According to the 247sports composite rankings, McCoy is the No. 264 overall player in the country. He also is listed as the No. 19 corner in the country and the No. 32 player from his home state of Georgia.

Not much is known about McCoy's recruitment at this time, but his upcoing visit to Georgia on Feb. 1 is a great sign that the Bulldogs are one of his top schools. This is especially exciting because not only is he an elite player, but he is an in-state recruit as well. So these are the recruitments that are extremely important to win, and so far it appears Smart and his staff are doing a great job in McCoy's recruitment.

4-star EDGE Khamari Brooks

Four-star EDGE Khamari Brooks is another player who has just recently announced a visit to Georgia as well.

Brooks is another extremely talented player from the state of Georgia who is the No. 153 overall player in the country, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He also is the No. 11 EDGE in his class as well as the No. 19 player from Georgia.

Brooks not only scheduled a visit with Georgia, but he has also scheduled visits with Alabama and Clemson. According to 247Sports, these are the top three schools in Brooks' recruitment right now, so these three visits likely will have a massive impact on where he ends up committing to.
