Georgia football continues to recruit the 2026 recruiting class hard, and that has been seen in a big way already this week. Earlier this week, Kirby Smart and his staff found out they were named a top school by two talented recruits.
This stretch of good news is continuing as two more elite recruits have announced that they will be taking a visit to Athens in the near future.
4-star wide receiver Davion Brown
The first player who has scheduled a future visit with Georgia is four-star wide receiver Davion Brown.
According to 247Sports, Brown is the No. 140 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 19 wide receiver and the No. 6 player from his home state of Virginia as well.
Georgia's standing with Brown is unknown at this time as he has not named any schools as teams he is high on. So this upcoming visit is a great opportunity for Smart and his staff to make a push and become one of the leaders in this recruitment.
4-star safety Jireh Edwards
The second impressive recruit who announced an upcoming visit to Georgia is four-star safety Jireh Edwards.
Edwards is one of the best players in the entire 2026 recruiting class as 247Sports has him as the No. 33 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 3 ranked safety in the country and the No. 3 player from his home state of Maryland.
There isn't much known at this time about Edwards' recruitment either, but he does have offers from an impressive list of programs. This includes Georgia along with Florida, Florida State, Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Tennessee and USC. However, the team that 247Sports believes is leading in this recruitment is Maryland as the Terrapins are the only team labeled "warm" on his 247Sports' profile.
This label however is sometimes inaccurate, so it should be taken with a grain of salt. But for now, Georgia is clearly in the running because of this upcoming visit to Athens, so hopefully it goes well so Georgia can become one of the top teams in his recruitment.
