The Bulldog Nation should panic because…

Georgia’s secondary looked awful, I mean really just awful throughout the game. They couldn’t keep the Gamecocks from moving the ball using a zone defense, and they couldn’t keep up with their receivers going man-to-man.

The pass defense was a question coming into the season, everyone knew that. But it seems that everyone also got lulled into a false sense of security with the blanking of Clemson in the second half of that game. Maybe Clemson just isn’t that good, or maybe Georgia just matches up with them better, but it wasn’t the same defense that showed up in South Carolina.

Defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt has is work cut out for him, because although Troy isn’t a Power-5 FBS team, they are a quality team, and they throw the ball…a lot. If the Dawgs are upset by Troy….panic, definitely panic.
