Sure, high school football is just a game – a sport. It’s just another way for the schools to teach discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
It’s also everything in the world to the young men that don the armor on Friday nights.
If you can’t get out to watch these modern day gladiators, you can again see a trio of Georgia football commitments – and some excellent competition – online thanks to the NHFSnetwork.
Terry Godwin and the Callaway Cavaliers will make the two hour bus trip north to Lindale for a 5AAA sub region crossover game against the Pepperell Dragons on the banks of Booze Creek. Neither team is happy with their season so far, but both could fight their way into the playoffs. Broadcast time is 7:00 PM.
The 5’11” 166 lb Godwin is the top Rivals.com rated athlete in Georgia and a Rivals number 8 national recruit.

Georgia commitment Sage Hardin and the Marist War Eagles welcome Columbia High for a critical Region 6AAAA bout. Both teams have played well and have one region loss. A loss by either team between the Nancy and Bubbling Creeks would mean high stakes region competition to finish the season. Broadcast time is 7:30
Hardin is a 6’6” Rivals 3-star offensive line recruit.
Georgia commitment Jonathan Ledbetter and the Tucker Tigers will host the Alcovy Tigers Friday night in a Region contest at the headwaters of Burnt Fork Creek. Tucker is a powerhouse and is enjoying an excellent season. Alcovy is not. Take a peek at this one early but plan to move on. Broadcast time is 7:30.
Ledbetter is a 6’3” 272 pound Rivals 4- star defensive end and is the Rivals number 6 recruit in Georgia.
