Overheard passing a Seton Hall fan while leaving the Stegeman Coliseum. “That number 30, he’s trouble.”
J. J. Frazier put the exclamation mark on a Georgia basketball statement tonight as the Dawgs pounded Seton Hall 65 – 47 in a name the score game that was never close.
Frazier claimed three career highs, including a remarkable 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Together with Charles Mann’s 7 rebounds, the Bulldog point guard tandem claimed 18 rebounds.
J.J. Frazier now with a career-high 7 assists to go with a career-high 11 rebounds. Georgia leads Seton Hall 63-38 with 3:22 to go.

Kenny Gaines scored 15, delighting the 7,556 in attendance with an array of dunks and three pointers while showing no ill effects of his recently sprained shoulder. Marcus Thornton scored 13 and claimed 8 rebounds. Freshman Yante Maten blocked 5 shots in his first ever start as a Bulldog.
But it was Frazier, the diminutive sophomore point guard, who brought the crowd to its feet during his late game curtain call for continually out leaping and out speeding his opponents for the ball and for his daring fast break passes and leading to rim rattling dunks.
This was yet another big win for a Georgia team that is beginning to find a rhythm and turn some heads. As conference play approaches, games like this will go a long way to helping prepare Mark Fox’s team for some even better opponents.
