Get ready, because the flurry of flips, changes-of-heart, and surprises is only beginning. National Signing Day is in two days, and now is when the silliness really get cranked up.

Monday started with a bit of a sour note for the Georgia football program, as a report has come from the AJC that Chris Carson, a 3-star JUCO running back and Georgia’s lone commit at that position for 2015, has flipped his commitment to Oklahoma State.

“I’m in class and I can’t talk right now, but yea I’ve committed to Oklahoma State,” Carson told the AJC in a text message. When asked for the reason for his switch, Carson said: “A better situation at OSU (for playing time).”

Now it’s not that Georgia is exactly sparse or hurting at the tailback position, but losing a quality JUCO player who could have been a valuable piece is still a blow. Nick Chubb and Sony Michel are certain to get most of the carries, but as has been proven time and time again by this team, they can never have too many running backs or wide receivers.

There may be more to come, hopefully in Georgia’s favor. Most will be keeping their eyes on the decisions of wide receiver Darius Slayton and athlete Terry Godwin.
