One of Georgia’s top commits, ATH/WR Terry Godwin has now made it official, he will be a Georgia Bulldog in the fall. Godwin, the Dawgs’ 29th commitment, announced his choice live on Fox Sports South. He chose Georgia over the Auburn Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide.
The 5’11” 170 pound athlete is the top Rivals national recruit at his position, the number two ranked player in the state and tenth ranked player in the nation. While a longtime Georgia commit, Godwin kept the Bulldog Nation’s attention, taking official visits to Alabama and Auburn and hosting an in home visit over the weekend by Auburn coach Gus Malzahn.
About his decision, Godwin said on Fox Sports South, “I know coach Bobo left, but now that coach Schotty is there I got a feeling about him too. I know that we’re gonna do great things, win a championship there.”
With Albany’s big defensive lineman Trent Thompson (Westover High) also choosing Georgia, the Dawgs claim the top two high schoolers in Georgia as part of the class of 2o15.
