The Georgia Bulldogs have had a nice start to National Signing Day, as two of their top targets have given their Letters of Intent to play in Athens.

The condensed frenzy of National Signing Day has begun, and Georgia is off and running, getting two of their top targets signed early in the day.

Both defensive lineman DaQuan Hawkins and offensive lineman Patrick Allen have officially signed their letters to play at Georgia, two huge targets who Mark Richt has to be pleased to land.

Hawkins had narrowed his choices to Georgia and Missouri, along with several other schools, but ultimately he was Georgia’s recruit to lose. Allen was a near-flip, who had committed and then changed his mind after Mike Bobo and Will Friend left for Colorado State.

This adds another 3-star and 4-star recruit to Georgia’s official haul for the day, with more to come. Both these recruits were absolutely big targets for the Bulldogs. It’s still early and some of the Bulldogs most prized recruits are making their official announcements later in the day.
