With less than 100 days to go until the first Georgia Bulldogs football game there is a great sense of anticipation about what is in store for the new season between the hedges. It is true that there are some question marks about the program such as the quarterback uncertainty that seems to still linger on for the Dawgs at this point. Even so, the hype in Athens about the future does not all look like a mystery as the 2015 UGA signees moved in on campus this past Monday.

The 2015 signing class was quite an impressive one garnering 29 total commits as UGA finished ranked #6 in the nation in recruiting per 247Sports.com composite team rankings. Among those included in the fold was the #1 overall player in the country in defensive tackle Trent Thompson out of Westover High School in Albany, Georgia, who is poised to make an immediate impact on the defensive line against both the pass and the rush.

Other notables of the class include 5 Star athlete Terry Godwin, 4 Star weak-side defensive end D’Andre Walker, 4 Star cornerback Rico McGraw, 4 Star offensive tackle Patrick Allen, 4 Star wide receiver Jayson Stanley, and 4 Star outside linebacker Roquan Smith.

Fans and the 2015 class are not making light of the arrivals in “The Classic City” as they took to social media to express themselves:

With the 2015 UGA signees now in-house, the honeymoon period should last for several days but one can only assume it will be short lived given the limited amount of time before the first game of the season against Louisiana-Monroe on September 5, 2015, in Athens. Nonetheless, there is much excitement for both Georgia Bulldogs fans and the new players alike as they make the bold transition from high school playing days to donning the “red and black” for the University of Georgia.
