Josh Imatorbhebhe, North Gwinnett High School

Josh Imatorbhebhe, (6’2″, 205) at North Gwinnett High is the 12th ranked wider receive in the country.

Employing a long wing span and 40-inch vertical jump, Imatorbhebhe caught 58 passes for 1,072 yards and 15 touchdowns last season.

But Imatorbhebhe, the 2016 number 14 prospect in Georgia and number 24 receiver in the nation is the one that got away as he will travel to the west cost and play for Southern California.

Charlie Woerner, Rabun County High School

Finally, Charlie Woerner, (6’5” 220) has created quite a stir playing for tiny Rabun County High in Tiger, GA. Woerner, the nephew of Bulldog legend Scott Woerner, had 45 catches for 659 yards and seven touchdowns last season. Woerner’s receiving stats are suppressed by his play at running back, where he ran for 1187 yards, and at safety, where he made over 100 tackles. Woerner is the 16th ranked recruit in the state.

There is much water cooler speculation about what position Woerner will play – tight end or receiver. Recruited initially as a tight end, Woerner received an offer as a wide receiver after attending Mark Richt’s  7 on 7 camp. Whatever he plays, he will play it in red and black as Woerner is committed to the Bulldogs.

Georgia High school football is not just for runners anymore. Just as the Dawgs can find elite throwers in state, they can find the elite catchers as well.
