Brown (6’4’’, 318 pounds), a highly touted five-star defensive tackle, has been on the radar of many top programs for a long time. The Buford, Georgia (Lanier High School) product has become the best player on one of the state’s best teams.
With his official visit to Athens set for January, this trip will serve as a precursor as his recruitment gears up for Signing Day. The next few months will be crucial to land Brown because he also has official visits set to Auburn and Tennessee.
The story in years past has always been that Georgia has great ability to sign top players, but they always let some of the top local talent slip through their fingers. Brown could be another example of this or he could serve as a launching point for the future for the Dawgs.

Do not be fooled by his size. Brown has proven speed at his position, and he is quick off of the ball.
The addition of Brown could go a long way for how this recruiting class is viewed on the defensive side of the ball. The team has already locked down two of Georgia’s finest at defensive tackle in Julian Rochester (Powder Springs/McEachern High School) and Tyler Clark (Americus/Americus Sumter).
It almost certainly seems like Brown will wait till close to Signing Day to decide where he will play college ball, so Georgia has to take advantage of every opportunity they get to talk with him. This trip being his second time in Athens this fall is a good sign considering he still has his ultimate visit in early 2016 to the school.
