Recruiting has come so far these days. Back in the day, the only media involved in a player’s commitment was the local newspaper. Then, we started seeing players use hats to show the nation where they were going. Isaiah Crowell even used a puppy to commit to UGA.
Now, high school players’ recruitments are well documented. In the case of five-star quarterback Jacob Eason, his tale has been thrust into the national spotlight for the last few years.

The No. 1-rated pocket passer in the country was all in on Georgia until Mark Richt was let go after the Bulldogs final regular season game of the 2015 season. The ensuing weeks saw him open up his recruitment, and travel to Gainesville to visit with the Gators before taking an official visit to Athens this past weekend.
Monday night Eason took to Twitter to tell college football fans that he would be making his announcement Tuesday as to which school he would attend.
Early Tuesday morning many Georgia fans took to the Internet awaiting the news that Eason would hopefully be committing to UGA. Some probably forgot that in Eason’s hometown of Lake Stevens, Washington, there was a three-hour time difference.

Nonetheless, around lunchtime in the East, Eason stood up in front of his peers in the weight room at his high school and reaffirmed his commitment to the University of Georgia.
What a sigh of relief for the Dawg Nation!
Eason will enroll at Georgia in January, so the timeframe between his second commitment to the school and his first day of classes is less than a month. Talk about a fast-paced environment.
Following the Eason news, head coach Kirby Smart tweeted out from his personal account to wide receiver prospects in an attempt to lure them to Georgia:
“Thrilled to hear the news! Now, who wants to catch a @skinnyqb10 post? Better have some jets! #Squad16 #CommitToTheG”
