Georgia has the studs in the NFL, they have multiple highlights in college from the running backs. But what they don’t have in the past decade is a SEC Championship. So far Georgia has not been able to capitalize on the quality of backs they had on campus.

Holding back the view of Georgia as Running Back University is the fact they haven’t done anything with the studs. But with the return of Michel and Chubb, this is the year for them to cash in. Georgia should finally capture the elusive SEC Championship.

Also Georgia running backs have not won a Heisman since 1980. Always in the conversation, they haven’t been able to push ahead of the competition to secure the trophy. But with Chubb coming back, they should already have a front runner for the Heisman Trophy this upcoming season.

Will this be the year that Georgia is able to capture the Heisman Trophy due to their great running backs? Most would say no, due to the quality of running back depth they have, Georgia won’t need a back to take all the carries. But Chubb should still take the majority of them, and if he produces like he did 2 years ago, he has a chance to win it.
