When Joe Milton committed to Michigan, it left the Georgia Football team looking at several other prospects.

Despite several recruiting services having Joe Milton leaning towards the Georgia Football team, he recently committed to play up in Michigan. UGA has been missing on a lot of QB’s this recruiting cycle but thats to be expected. They have 2 5 star recruits currently on campus and neither is going anywhere for at least 2 seasons.

They took a big swing at Trevor Lawrence, the best QB to come out of Georgia in decades but lost out to Clemson. That effort put them behind the eight-ball with several other top prospects. Penn State commit Justin Fields could potentially flip. But would he really leave a wide open job at a big program to sit for at least a year at UGA?

Bearing that in mind, UGA is looking at several other prospects. There’s a common theme, most of them are dual threats and can run. This is because the team are trying to find someone a bit different from what they currently have. Most of the prospects they are chasing are raw and that works well with UGA’s timetable. 2018 is a year they would like to find someone they can develop and potentially break out in several years.
