How does 2017 stack up:

USC returns 10 starts on offense which should be great for rising sophomore Bentley. Continuity is so rare in college football and having the chance to bring so many starters back is really good to the Gamecocks. Bentley will once again have a solid WR to throw to. Deebo Samuel is a really good athelete and he’s shown that he’s a nightmare to cover. He had 90 yards against the dawgs last year and there is no doubt that he can cause problems for defenses. If he gets open more, look for him to push for double figures in TD’s in 2017.

The defense should also be better than it was in 2016. First off, linebacker Skai Moore returns after missing the entire of the last season with a Neck Injury. Moore was the leader of the 2015 defense and plays a key position. Muschamp will love having him back on the field helping him dial up plays.

There are several freshman who could make an instant impact on that side of the ball. Jamyest Williams was a big time target for UGA but he choose to stick with his commitment to SC on signing day. That’s a blow for Georgia, despite being only 5-9, Williams in playmaker. He’s a natural slot corner and it will be fascinating to see if he ends there when UGA plays them. Terry Godwin and Mecole Hardman are crucial to this UGA offense this year and Williams has the ability to shadow them.
