While the season is getting closer, there is still a lot happening in terms of the offseason. As we mentioned this morning, there were two big time recruiting decisions coming this weekend and the first one dropped today. Azeez Ojulari, one of the top OLB’s in the 2018 class made his commitment to UGA in a ceremony at his school. This is a big time win for Georgia. Ojulari was a fast rising prospect and when you watch his Junior season highlights, you can see why.

He’s a special kind of athlete who will bring an explosive skill set to the pass rush. Georgia is working really hard to load up on depth, especially on defense and Azeez is the kind of player who will challenge people on day one. With Lorenzo Carter and Davin Bellamy moving on, it’s going to be up to players like him and Robert Beal to step in and win the job. Ojulari also has a highly talented younger brother, BJ, who will likely be one of the top players in the 2020 class. His commitment to Georgia gives UGA a great chance to win another big recruitment battle.

Overall, this was a big win for Georgia. They were able to keep a top talent in the state and beat out a bunch of elite schools who really wanted him. If UGA can make it 3-3 on Saturday by bringing in Kearis Jackson, this 2018 class just got a whole lot better. All eyes on Peach COunty this Saturday…
