Offense:

Quarterback:

  1. Jacob Eason, So
  2. Jake Fromm, Fr
  3. Brice Ramsey, Sr

Eason will hold down his starting spot despite the fact that Fromm has impressed in camp. Fromm seems to have taken the backup job from Ramsey which is a good sign for his development. Expect him to see time when UGA have leads this season.

Running back:

  1. Nick Chubb, Sr.
  2. Sony Michel, Sr.
  3. Brian Herrian, So.
  4. Elijah Holyfield, So.
  5. D’Andre Swift, Fr.

Chubb and Michel will be the Bell cows for the offense. They will likely be on the field together sometimes which will be exciting. The other 3 will probably get roughly the same amount of time and be used in specific situations. Holyfield should be the short yardage back while Herrian and Swift move around between the slot and the backfield.

Wide Receivers:

  1. X: Javon Wims, Sr.     Z: Riley Ridley, So.     Slot: Terry Godwin, Jr.
  2. X: Michael Chigbu, Jr.     Z: Mark Webb, Fr.     Slot: Mecole Hardman, So.
  3. X: Jeremiah Holloman, Fr.     Z: Trey Blount, Fr.     Slot: Ahkil Crumpton, Jr.

This is going to be a very flexible group. Expect to see plenty of sets where Godwin takes the X space, leaving space for players like Hardman and Michel to play in the slot. This is one of those areas where depth chart doesn’t really matter. The play design will dictate who is on the field.

Tight Ends:

  1. Issac Nauta, So.
  2. Charlie Woerner, So.
  3. Jeb Blazevich, Sr.

This one is pretty clear cut. Issac Nauta might be the best tight end in the SEC by the end of the season. Looks for Woerner to see the field plenty too. Georgia could play in a lot more 2 tight end sets this year and get both of them on the field. That would be a matchup nightmare for people.

Offensive line:

  1. LT: Isaiah Wynn, Sr   LG: Pat Allen, RSSo   C: Lamont Gaillard, Jr   RG: Solomon Kindley, RSFr  RT: Andre Thomas, Fr
  2. LT: Isaiah Wilson, Fr   LG: Dyshon Sims, Sr  C: Sean Fogarty, Jr    RG: Kendall Baker, Jr    RT: Ben Cleveland, RSFr

Right now, it looks like the line is pretty set. However, this will likely be a unit in transition as the season goes on. Look for Isaiah Wilson to find his way into the lineup as the season goes on, either at guard or right tackle. That’s a position he could end up in if Andrew Thomas transitions over to LT. Netori Johnson and Justin Schaffer should also emerge onto the depth chart as the year goes on.
