Javon Wims

The senior who transferred to Georgia last year has a lot of expectations heading into 2017. He’s a tall receiver and he’s seen as an offensive leader. He played the part in the season opener with three catches for 81 yards.

We already mentioned one of his catches, but his touchdown was even better. Facing a pass rush, Fromm just tossed a pass up that was way under thrown. Luckily for Fromm and the fans, Wims noticed that the ball was under thrown before the defenders did.

He came back, made the catch and then made a great stretch as he hit the turf to score a touchdown that extended Georgia’s lead to 14-0 in the second quarter.

It doesn’t matter who that play is against, that would have been a great effort against anyone. Definitely an encouraging play to see out of Wims.
