Georgia Football beat App. State 31-10 in their first game of the season.

Saturday was the first game of the season for the Georgia Football team. They were up against an App. State team that a lot of outside observers picked to achieve an upset. That was never really on the cards however as UGA pretty much dominated the Sun Belt team.

UGA didn’t have the game go entirely their own way, however. They lost starting QB Jacob Eason on his third drive of the game after he was subjected to a late hit when he was running out of bounds. Georgia fans are anxiously waiting on news today on the extent of the injury. Although True Freshman Jake Fromm was able to move the offense, he looked like a freshman.

It’s going to be really hard for Georgia to win 10 games this season if it plays a freshman QB for the second season in a row. While Fromm was able to overcome App. State, it’s going to be a different story when the tougher matchups come later this season.

Anyway, that injury was certainly not the only thing that happened all game. So let’s take a look at some of the takeaways UGA fans can take from this game. After spending 8 months wondering what Georgia would look like in 2017, we finally have some game film to study. We also have an idea of how this team is going to look the rest of the year. Here are my 5 top takeaways from this weeks game.
