The Case for Jake Fromm:

How about the fact that the guy is 5-0 right now? You’d be hard-pressed to find many freshmen QB’s in the nation who are in that position. Fromm has done a fantastic job since he came in against App State in Week 1. He has made some mistakes, which is to be expected, but he has never put Georgia in a position to lose a game.

Fromm has displayed impressive accuracy in his first 5 games. He has certainly looked more accurate than Eason did in his freshman season. With a running attack like Georgia has this season, that is important. UGA can control the clock on the ground and really has not needed its QB to take over a game yet. If that remains the case, wouldn’t it be safer to stick with the guy who has shown that he can do that?

Now let’s talk about the leadership thing. Everything we have heard from players and anyone around the program about Fromm has been glowing. Everyone raves about just how hard he works and how smart he is. The guy seems like a natural winner and he’s helping this team win. Eason remains much more of an unknown this season and that is not what this team needs right now. With a great season in the works, sometimes it’s best to just play it safe.
