Georgia Football: Week 6 breakdown vs the Missouri Tigers
Georgia Football takes on the Missouri Tigers on Saturday in their 4th SEC matchup of the year and their last before they play Florida.
Georgia Football comes in rolling, 6-0, ranked number 4 in the AP poll, and has a pretty favorable schedule. Missouri, on the other hand, is coming in trying to spoil Georgia’s magical season. They are currently 1-4 and haven’t looked good at all. But the Tigers would love nothing more to avenge the very lucky UGA win from last year. On paper, this looks like a sure-fire Georgia win but that’s not the case. Let’s dive into the breakdown.
What Missouri must do to win.
This seems to be a repeat every week for the UGA opponents but to win you have to find a way to score on the defense of UGA. A lot of people around the SEC seem to think that Missouri could have the pieces to threaten the UGA defense.
Drew Lock is definitely a threat, as we saw last year. He has the ability to make throws downfield that other quarterbacks Georgia has faced might not be able to make. He has 2 big receivers that can go up and get it too. J’Mon Moore and Emmanuel Hall have gotten by their men pretty well but sometimes have problems catching at practice. If Lock can make a few big throws downfield, Mizzou could possibly expose the dawg defense.
What Georgia must do to win.
Although I’m still interested in seeing what Fromm could do in the passing game, once again to win, feed the backs. Auburn destroyed this Missouri defense on the ground, and I don’t see why Georgia shouldn’t do the same.
X-Factors
Ish Witter and Damarea Crockett were tough last week against Kentucky averaging over seven yards per carry. They will definitely be the big factor bc the run game could open the passing game for Lock.
For Georgia, I’m going with the defensive line. It’s a little banged up but is loaded with depth. The line must win the battle up front and pressure Lock. With a lot of time, Lock could go off for 300 yards.

Who wins?
I think the Missouri offense will turn the ball over at least 3 times. Georgia will run the ball successfully and improve to 7-0.
