The running backs

Of course, these lists just aren’t complete without the running backs. The stable of five running backs combined for 329 yards on 43 carries. Sony Michel led the way with 86 yards on nine carries with two long touchdowns.

But D’Andre Swift had the biggest run of the night with a 71-yard burst in the third quarter. He finished the game with 94 yards on just six carries. It’s crazy to think that there was night Chubb or Michel might not be the best back on their team. But that probably was the case last night and it would have been even more obvious if another of Swift’s great runs stood.

The second run in this video is amazing. If it hadn’t been called back for an illegal motion, it would have been a third hurdle of the day for UGA players. That’s something that Chubb got started himself earlier in the game.

No matter who seems to get the ball, this group just keeps on delivering. They truly do run 5 deep and we saw another solid performance from Elijah Holyfield as well later in the game. Georgia has earned its title of RBU over the years. This season, however, is even more special for lovers of a good running game.
