Most exciting to watch – D’Andre Swift

Swift has been nothing short of electric so far. We’ve already gone through his stats so there’s no need for that, you know he’s impressive. But Swift seems to make it a personal mission to excite the Bulldog Nation every time he touches the ball.

His long run against Notre Dame was one of the most important plays of that game. And his two long runs last weekend were a joy to watch, even though one was called back for a penalty.

It’s become a cliche at this point for someone to mention how his name is Swift during his best runs. But as we saw against Tennessee, he has some power as well. And that’s part of his excitement. Because of that name, you expect speed and quickness, then all of the sudden he hits someone or carries defenders with him.

Honorable mention – Terry Godwin

No Malcolm Mitchell or Isaiah McKenzie, someone needed to step up and naturally it was the no. 2 receiver of 2015 and 2016, Terry Godwin. He entered 2017 with only two touchdowns and he already has five so far this season.

And each of those touchdowns were exciting plays. The most notable was his touchdown against Notre Dame that drew comparisons to A.J. Green’s touchdown against Colorado.

Honorable mention – Roquan Smith

There hasn’t been a defensive player this fun to watch since David Pollack. Smith is all over the field and it’s not uncommon to see him being the first to hit a ball carrier. It doesn’t matter if it’s in the backfield, the second level, in the middle, or on the side lines, Smith will get to the ball carrier.

His biggest highlight of the year came against Notre Dame when he made all three tackles on a three-and-out in three different areas of the field.
