The Georgia Football team goes into Jacksonville this weekend to take on their arch rivals. What should you be looking out for vs the gators?

To me, it’s still The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, but call it what you want. This is the game every Georgia Football fan has been waiting for all season, and itching for, for the last two weeks. Trash talk from Florida has been in the headlines all week long, the party in Jacksonville is probably starting tonight, and it’s going to be a fun, physical game. Let’s dive into the breakdown.

What Florida Must Do To Win.

Florida has talked a lot of trash about Jake Fromm “throwing slants that anyone can throw” but the gators have had their fair share of offensive struggles this season. In order for Florida to win, they must open up the passing game through the run. Feleipe Franks has had a rough season due to minimum talent around him, but a healthy run game could help him tremendously.

Don’t be surprised to see Malik Zaire in this game either. He adds a different dynamic to the Gator offense. Florida also has a chance to win if they can force a few turnovers. Florida is very good defensively and could cause some havoc for the young Fromm.

What Georgia Must Do To Win.

For Georgia to win the game, another dose of a loaded stable of running backs. Chubb, Michel, and Swift may have a tougher time running on the Florida defense, so they must be patient and wait for their holes to open up. Fromm will have to make a few more plays throwing the ball to win. If Georgia is able to put together a balanced offense, that could be tough for Florida to stop.

Then on defense, the question is which Georgia comes to play. The past 2 games, UGA has looked a little less stout with some players missing and weaker opponents. When Georgia took on Mississippi state and Notre Dame, their defense looked incredible. If that unit plays to their potential, they could make Florida’s offense very uncomfortable.

X-Factors

For Florida, it’s the entire offense. For years now they have been very good defensively with a lack of offensive production. Florida will have to play well offensively all around to beat UGA. Franks has been inconsistent at best but he has a heck of an arm. When he slings it, he can make Jacob Eason’s arm look like Chad Penington. But he’s yet to show that he really has any idea what he’s doing on offense despite his physical tools.

For Georgia, it is Jake Fromm. Florida has been poor mouthing him all week. I believe they are going to force the Dawgs to pass and Fromm will have to make more plays than usual. I don’t think Florida will just shut down the run game, I just think they will make it s little tougher.

Who Wins?

I think this is going to be a tougher game than a lot of people think. I mean it is Georgia and Florida. Florida is very good defensively but I think it won’t be good enough to completely shut UGA down. Georgia 27 – Florida 7.
