1. “One game at a time.”

I’m putting this one at #1 because I’ve heard it more than anything lately. Anytime I begin to discuss a future game against Auburn or how we would fare against Alabama in the SEC championship, it’s always just a matter of minutes and sometimes seconds before I hear this one. Look, folks, I get it. I do. We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves for fear that the team may do the same. We don’t want to be the “rat poison” that Nick Saban has spoken about.

But I think as fans, we tend to think our words carry more power than they actually do. Do any of you honestly think Saban is getting on Facebook and Twitter to see what Jimmy Bob from Monroe or @JawgaRedneck69 is saying about Alabama? They don’t care, guys. Honestly. And as far as the Dawgs losing focus, Kirby Smart has already proven to me that he’s got that under control. Now

I’m not saying to go rent a billboard in Tuscaloosa and put , “WE WANT BAMA” on it in big red and black letters. What I’m telling you us we can discuss possible future scenarios that aren’t set in stone yet logically without having “ONE GAME AT A TIME!” yelled at us or typed at us in caps lock. Don’t worry about the focus of the team. Kirby has got that under control.
