Georgia Football goes into this week looking for redemption
Leadership Council needs to step up:
Moving away from the narrative and on to the team. This is where Georgia really will have to get their redemption. On the field. One of the big narratives that have been written about this year by people like myself is the type of leaders this Georgia team has.
Kirby Smart created a leadership council and those players have done a great job all year keeping the entire team focused. Remember when the seniors scolded the young kids for giving up a garbage time touchdown to Florida? That’s a big difference to the Auburn guys who were already celebrating their win before the 4th quarter started.
This is going to be the week where these leaders really show what they are made of. The team had by far their worst game of the season. They let themselves down and a lot of them are hurting. Lorenzo Carter really did not want to do an interview after the game this past week because he was so upset. But it’s time to move on.
Football, much like life is a game of adversity. UGA has been so good this year that they have faced very little of it. This is really the first time our players have had to pick themselves up. Thats where the leaders come in. Georgia still has everything to play for this season. What’s more, it should have plenty of fire to prove people wrong.
