Stegeman Coliseum

During the offseason, Stegeman Coliseum received several million dollars worth of badly needed renovations. I must say that the arena now truly looks like one of the premier venues in college basketball. With cushioned seating, an enormous jumbotron/scoreboard, and newly renovated concession facilities, Stegeman Coliseum is an incredible venue for the Dawgs. I encourage fans to come out to a game not only to watch the team but also to experience The Steg’s new, modern look.

Going Forward

Time will tell how good this Georgia team will be. The Dawgs arguably have the SEC’s best player in Yante Maten. However, it will be crucial that other members of this team step up to provide him with some assistance if this team wants to make it to the NCAA tournament. As a fan, I’m very excited about the young talent on this team. I’m very hopeful that they will develop quickly as the season goes on. This team is capable of an NCAA tournament berth. Once SEC play begins in January, we will have a better idea if this team can reach that goal.
