What type of player is he?

Condon is huge. As in seriously, the guy is massive. As big as all of UGA’s 5 linemen that have been signed this year, Condon is the largest, at least in terms of height and length. He still ‘only’ weighs 300lbs so he needs to put on some weight when he gets into Athens, but you just can’t teach that kind of size. It’s legitimately rare.

That being said, he is raw and is further behind the other 4 in his development. Part of that is playing in an Oklahoma league that isn’t loaded with talent. Part of it is that he tore his meniscus in his knee in the first game of his senior season. That meant that he missed almost all of this past football season. He is expected to be back to full strength before he gets to Athens this summer.

When you watch the highlights, who things stand out. 1. the guy is physically dominant at his level. He won’t have the same advantage in the SEC, but he has the tools you’re looking for. Secondly, Condon is kind of like Cade Mays in this class in that he’s pretty damn nasty. Seriously, watch the highlights, just look at how he treats opposing defenders.

This is a player who finishes blocks. When he’s driven someone to the floor, he doesn’t let them get back up and just keeps shoving them. In short, he’s a bully and while that might not be good in the classroom, it’s a very, very good thing on the offensive line. I didn’t know what to expect before I watched his film. He seems like such a nice guy in interviews and he’s a great student who will come to UGA with a 3.9 GPS. But man, having watched him play… I REALLY like what I see.
