Former Georgia Football player Nick Chubb really stood out during his workout day of the NFL Combine. Both he and Sony Michel showed the scouts that thy have both power and speed.

Georgi Football fans always knew that Nick Chubb was a special kind of athlete. After his knee injury in 2015, it seems that a lot of non-UGA fans seem to think that Chubb is just an average running back. Unsurprisingly, both he and Sony Michel showed during their initial testing at the NFL Combine that theory to be wrong.

Chubb tied the most reps of the 225lb bench press with 29. He then went on t run a 4.52 on the 40 yard dash. He tied top RB Saquon Barkley for the most reps on the bench press and came 6th overall in terms of 40 yard dash. Chubb also performed really well in the broad and vertical jump and the 20 cone drill.

In short, Chubb lit it up. He proved that all the talk about how he was a ‘slow and steady’ runner was nothing but noise. The guy is one heck of an athlete. When you combine that with the toughness and character that UGA fans know so well, whoever drafts him is getting one heck of a player.

Sony Michel didn’t let the side down either. He finish 5th on the bench press with 22 lifts and ran his 40 yard dash in 4.54 seconds. Some were surprised that he was slightly slower than Chubb but Michel his stats were similar to Alvin Kamara last year. The similarities are startling between those two.
