Georgia Football 2018 Preview: Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders
What are their weaknesses:
As I mentioned earlier, the Blue Raiders don’t really like to run the ball. Attacking a young Georgia secondary sounds all well and good and maybe it will work. However, there is a lot of talent in that secondary this year. Young and ball hungry athletes like Richard LeCounte and Mark Webb have the physical talent to dominate the Middle Tennessee receivers. I also wouldn’t recommend throwing the ball towards Deandre Baker in any way shape of form if I was the Blue Raiders. If SEC teams avoid his side of the field, you probably should do.
The other issue with not running the ball is that it allows Georgia to tee off. This UGA side is going to be somewhat different to last year when it comes to rushing the passer. It is loaded with young and explosive OLB’s who will see this game as an opportunity to make a statement. The last thing you want is to allow those guys to pin their ears back and rush the passer. Spread offenses don’t tend to work with QB’s on the floor.
On the other side of the ball, yes last year the Blue Raider’s defense was solid. But they haven’t faced anything like his UGA offense. The Dawgs offensive line should be bullies at he point of attack, giving their explosive running backs plenty of room to run. Throw in Jake Fromm and a tonne of talented receivers and it’s hard to see how they stop Georgia pilling up points.

Dawg fans should show Middle Tennessee some respect. They’ll show up and they won’t just roll over. However, again, this game will be circled by the Georgia coaches as an opportunity to really develop some of their highly talented and aggressive young talent. Look for them to overcome the Blue Raiders with their athleticism and move the Dawgs to 3-0
