Analyst Phil Steele things that Georgia Football has a chance to go undefeated in the 2018 season which would be pretty impressive.

Georgia Football fan were already excited heading into this season. They probably feel happy that they aren’t the only ones who think 2018 will be a good year for the Dawgs. Pundit Phil Steele decided to go kind of all out during this current ‘talking season’. He told 680 The Fan that he felt that Georgia would go undefeated in the 2018 regular season. Safe to say most fans will be happy to hear that.

"“When you look at their schedule, I think Georgia will be favored in every single game in the regular season,” Steele said. “South Carolina on the road is a tough game but (UGA is) already an 11-point favorite in Vegas. At LSU, I figure they’ll be about a touchdown favorite. Florida in Jacksonville they’ll be favored. It may just come down to the SEC title game and wouldn’t that be quite a rematch? I’m predicting 12-0 Georgia against 12-0 Alabama in the SEC Title game.”"

That’s quite a statement by Steele. Like a lot of Georgia fans, I feel pretty good about this upcoming season. I think they have a good chance to go undefeated into the title game. I don’t know if I’m quite ready to predict that it will happen however.

The one game that is looming large for me is that LSU one. I know that Coach O is an easy guy to make fun of and that his team lost to Troy last season. However that is going to be one hostile atmosphere and we saw in the Auburn game last year what those environments can do to a team. Georgia are good yes, but good enough to walk out of that stadium with a win? I don’t know, that’s a very tall ask.

I still think they’ll win the East and meet Bama in Atlanta for the SEC title game. Unlike last year, I expect only one SEC team to make the playoff. That game will be a winner takes all match and I for one think UGA can win it. That being said, I’ll take pundits saying nice things about UGA over thinking Jake Fromm is worse than Nick Fitzgerald…
