Georgia baseball pitches for the SEC lead
Saturday bounce back
No so fast, said the Dawg hitters.
The Georgia baseball team responded Saturday with an 8 – 3 win. The Georgia team pounded out 11 hits for 8 runs while the Dawg pitchers scattered five hits to leave six Commodores on base.
“We just didn’t swing at the borderline pitches,” head coach Scott Stricklin said. “[Our hitters] were patient and just knocked his pitch count up a little bit and got into the bullpen.”
With the best Sunday starter in the SEC ready to take the mound for the Dawgs the next day, Georgia was poised to snatch away the series from the number four ranked Vanderbilt baseball team.
