Theo Johnson

Theo Johnson is a 6-6 245 pound tight end from Windsor, Ontario. According to 247Sports Composite rankings, he ranks as the No. 4 overall tight end and the No. 1 prospect out of Ontario and runs a 4.67 40-yard dash as well.

Johnson recently visited Iowa on June 7 and March 10, Georgia on April 20 and March 15, and  Penn State on April 13 and March 12.

Right now it seems to be a battle between Penn State and Michigan, but I wouldn’t count out the Dawgs yet. In fact, I would put Iowa up there for him as well.

He hasn’t made it to Michigan yet, but expect that to come sooner than later and expect the yellow carpet to be rolled out for him.

Todd Hartley needs to get him back on campus this summer and show him what playing in the SEC is all about. However, he has the size of a BIG 10 tight end though. In my opinion, I see him going to a BIG 10 school because it’s closer to home and how he’s built.

I could be wrong and would love to see him in the red and black, but at the same time, it could be a long shot.

Johnson is one heck of an athlete though and is one of the most athletic guys on the field. According to 247Sports, he has an official date set for Sept. 21 for the Georgia vs. Notre Dame game, which could help out the Bulldogs immensely, especially if the Dawgs get the big win.

I expect that game to have a ton of recruits and it to be a massive weekend for the Bulldogs in general. If Johnson can see all of what the Classic City has to offer, it could get interesting down the stretch.

Johnson could end up in the red and black, but right now  I think he is No. 3 on the Dawgs list of tight ends.
