LSU longshot

LSU fans express little hope that Milton will don the LSU home, road, and everywhere else white jersey. The Bengal Cats seem more optimistic about fellow five-star running back recruit Zachary Evans, and the Cats are a clear longshot for Evans signature.

Running Back U

So what about them Dawgs?

“I like their tradition for not only producing great running backs in college but then getting those guys out to the NFL and having a lot of success there.”

In this piece by Greg Biggins, there are no references by Milton to “great running backs,” “getting them to the NFL,” and their “NFL success” regarding Ohio State, LSU and Alabama. None. If you are a Bulldog, you feel pretty good about that.

Charting the future

Georgia’s top two running backs leave after this season. Zamir White will return in 2020 as a redshirt sophomore, and while he hasn’t carried the ball yet, everyone knows his talent is immense.

It’s not likely Milton will mind sharing playing time with White – he said he wants to share carries to extend his career. It’s also highly unlikely White will hang around Georgia long enough to see his redshirt junior year under anything but the most unfortunate of circumstances. Milton will be first in line to Feature Back-in-Waiting, and that fits Milton’s three-year plan.

“I want to be able to come in and have an immediate impact and, you know, just get on and be able to get to the league in three years.”
