Arik Gilbert

Gilbert is another that everyone talks about for the 2020 class. He is a 6-5 and 253-pound athlete that can play wherever he wants on the football field.

However, he wants to play tight end, and Georgia wants him at that position.

According to 247Sports, Gilbert ranks as the No. 12 overall, the No. 2 ATH, No. 2 prospect in Georgia, and the No. 124 all-time prospect.

Right now the Dawgs hold 100 percent on his crystal balls, but don’t count out Tennessee. His teammate, Harrison Bailey, is currently committed to the Volunteers and pushing hard for him to commit.

However, I think Gilbert is a guy that wants to stay home and be a Dawg.

He took his first official visit to Alabama on June 14. Before that he went to Tennessee on May 18, Texas A&M on April 3, Oklahoma on April 1, and Georgia on Feb. 18.

On June 3, he released a top 10 school on Twitter. Those schools are Clemson, USC, Penn State, LSU, Auburn, Alabama, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Georgia.

Despite giving ten schools, It’s going to come down to Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee in my opinion.

Georgia needs to get him on campus and show him how much they want him. Todd Hartley has a tall task, no pun intended to land Gilbert, and I  think it’ll be his first big grab as the tight end coach for the Dawgs.

Gilbert could be one of two tight ends the Dawgs take in 2020, but I  think he is the top priority in this position.
