Georgia football is already working on the 2021 recruiting class as the Dawgs added its first member this week.

The first member of Georgia football’s 2021 recruiting class is 3-star safety, Bralyn Oliver.

According to 247Sports 2021 rankings, Oliver ranks as the No. 20 safety and the No. 5 prospect in South Carolina.

He’s from Belton Honea Path High School in Honea Path, S.C., and is 6-2 and 190-pounds.

On his 247Sports profile, it says he runs a 4.72 40-yard dash. So he’s pretty quick and seems to know how to use that big body to his advantage.

Like we’ve seen head coach Kirby Smart and his defensive back coaches in the last four recruiting cycles, they like to go after bigger framed secondary players, and Oliver is just that.

He committed to the Dawgs on Aug. 22 on his Twitter.

“First off I wanna thank God, without him none of this would be possible,” Oliver said on his Twitter. “Secondly, I wanna thank my mom, my backbone, and the first lady I love you forever. My siblings and my family, I love y’all forever. Chachi, you showed me the way and taught me what I know. All the OG jacks, y’all know #JB4L… With that being said, I am now committed to the Univesity of Georgia!”

He became the first member of the Dawgs 2021 class, and Oliver already impresses. While he may only be a 3-star right now, I think that he can earn a fourth star by the end of next year.

Charlton Warren did a great job getting to know this kid right away, and it could be the start of a few 2021 kids to commit to the Dawgs.

As we get closer to football season, the faster the staff begins to wrap up the 2020 class, look for the 2021 group to start to make a name for themselves.

The Dawgs have already emerged as the leader for a few key players in that class, and it’s good they have someone to start recruiting for them.

Oliver seems like he’s going to be the guy to start building this class and start another impressive recruiting class that Smart and his staff have set a precedent of what they expect each recruiting cycle looks like.

Georgia’s currently ranks as the No. 29 overall 2021 class and the No. 9 in the SEC. It won’t be long before the Dawgs make another jump in the rankings as the pledges start coming in for 2021.
