Which former Georgia Football players should you target in your fantasy football league?
It’s that time of year again — the time to draft your fantasy football team and see who comes out with the ultimate bragging rights. Georgia football has many offensive weapons in the NFL that can be used to earn those bragging rights.
There is the three-headed monster at running back that is Nick Chubb, Sony Michel, and Todd Gurley. There are many receivers including A.J. Green, Chris Conley, Javon Wims, Reggie Davis, and Isaiah McKenzie. Georgia even has a couple of tight ends in the league, Ben Watson and Orson Charles.
The Dawgs also added one of its strongest groups or rookies into the NFL in a long time. This group includes running back Elijah Holyfield, receivers Riley Ridley, Terry Godwin, and Mecole Hardman, as well as tight end Isaac Nauta.
So, which ones should you take in your draft and where?

Todd Gurley – Last year Gurley missed two games and did not seem like himself down the stretch. The Rams invested a third-round pick in Darrell Henderson in the 2019 draft as an insurance policy against this happening this year.
Gurley also has not taken a single snap this preseason in efforts to keep him healthy this season.
Even in a shortened season, Gurley showed he is still one of the best backs in the NFL churning out 1,831 total yards and 21 total touchdowns.
Where to take him: Draft him in the second round.
Nick Chubb – Chubb started just nine games his rookie season but amassed 996 yards and eight touchdowns. He also accrued 20 catches for 149 yards and two touchdowns.
Chubb will open the season as Cleveland’s RB1 with Kareem Hunt suspended for eight games. That said, coming down the stretch Chubb and Hunt will be splitting time, so keep that in mind when drafting him early.
Where to take him: Draft him in the second round.
Sony Michel – Another former Georgia running back with health concerns, Michel has had knee issues in the past, and they popped back up in 2018. He missed three games and also missed a good bit of minicamp this year due to getting a knee scope. Michel also tore his ACL in high school and injured his knee in the 2017 SEC Championship game.
When healthy, he is an electric running back that can do it all. Michel accrued 981 total yards and six touchdowns last year.
Where to take him: Draft him in the 4th round.
A.J. Green – Over the last three years, Green has averaged 11 games played, 62 catches, 912 yards, and six touchdowns a season. He has missed games three of the last five seasons.
His status is quite cloudy at the moment. After suffering an ankle injury early in training camp, he had to have surgery. During surgery, they found more issues with his foot. This led to the belief that Green would miss six to eight weeks of the season.
ESPN’s Ben Baby tweeted this:
A.J. Green was briefly in the locker room today. Still had a boot on his left foot and using the push scooter. Didn’t have an update on his potential return, either.

There are just two weeks until the season starts; this is not a good sign.
Where to take him: Draft Green with caution, look for him in the seventh round.
Matthew Stafford – Over the last eight seasons, Stafford has not missed one game. He is the closest thing to a sure thing week in and week out that you can get at the quarterback position.
Stafford has averaged 4,466 yards, 27 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions over that span. He is one of the most consistent quarterbacks in the NFL and well worth having on your team in the late rounds.
Where to take him: Draft him in the tenth round.
