Establish the run

The first thing the offense needs to do is establish the run. This feat should not be a hard task as Georgia is averaging 287 yards on the ground per game this year.

D’Andre Swift alone is averaging 96 yards a game. He will be a handful for that Irish defense. Outside of Swift, Georgia has three running backs averaging over six yards a carry.

Zamir White is averaging 7.42, Kenny McIntosh is averaging 9.85, and James Cook is averaging an incredible 12.88 yards per carry.

Notre Dame’s rushing defense is not that great either as they give up an average of 230 yards rushing a game.

This does not bode well for the Irish, as you can see, Georgia’s major strength will be matched up against a significant weakness for Notre Dame.

I expect Georgia to establish the run early and pound the Irish into submission. If the Irish couldn’t stop Louisville’s stable of running backs, they do not have a prayer against Swift and company.

By the end of the third quarter Notre Dame’s front seven with be tired of trying to push the Great Wall of Georgia and pursuing their running backs.

Georgia shouldn’t have any problems running the ball, and it’ll be what puts the first nail in the coffin.
