Georgia football fans are basking in the glow of another great season, while Florida fans are stomping their feet again, but why are they so mad?

If you’re a Georgia football fan, you know that both the team and the fanbase have had to fight for everything that has been accomplished including respect. Our little brother — Florida fans — was used to getting everything they wanted from 1990-2010, which included:

  • Three National Titles 1996, 2006, 2008
  • Eight SEC Titles 1991, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 2000, 2006, 2008
  • Seven SEC East Titles 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1999, 2000, 2006, 2008, 2009

However, since 2011 Florida fans have more resembled well…

Have you ever been to a birthday party where all the kids get a present because they can’t stand for a sibling to get something they didn’t?

Have you ever seen a toddler throw a fit in the cereal or toy aisle of a store?

Have you watched the scene in Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory where Veruca Salt goes off on her tangent screaming “I want it now!”?

Since 2011, Florida has an overall record of 73-41 (an average of eight wins a season) and a record against Georgia of 3-6. Florida did muster one SEC East Title during the last decade, but for the most part, little brother had a tough go of it.

The modern-day Florida fan has suffered through nine seasons of mediocrity, while their big brother, Georgia has been spoiled with gift after gift. They are tired of seeing big brother get everything they cannot. From top recruiting classes to trips to the College Football Playoff, little brother is being completely left out.

So how do these spoiled, entitled Florida fans cope with all this disappointment? Well, they fill their little heads with delusions of grandeur, with everything from Dan Mullen being a much better coach than Kirby Smart, to convincing themselves that Georgia’s football program is falling apart year after year.

Here are a few examples:

This Florida fan thinks Georgia is ignoring Coach Smart’s flaws.

If Coach Smart is so flawed, then what does that say about a coach that is 0-3 against him? Come on Florida guy, don’t do this to yourself.

This mad Florida fan tries to hide the pain by convincing himself that a third-string safety transferring is indicative of Georgia imploding.

However, he takes it even further though, accusing Kirby Smart of being a racist:

Who hurt this kid? Dan Mullen needs to give this young man a hug. It will be ok kid. Brighter days are coming, Coach Smart can’t coach forever, eventually, Florida will beat Georgia again…not in your lifetime, but I am sure it will happen.

These pour lost souls just cannot handle the reality that their football program is no longer relevant to the big picture in college football. They kick and scream, they say it’s not fair, they lash out at the fans of their big brother, but nothing works.

Since they know that beating Georgia on the field is an impossible task they have to argue that Florida should come first in text:

They are really desperate for wins you guys. Even going to lengths like using a rival to troll big brother because they know Florida has done nothing of significance against Georgia in recent memory.

Speaking of using a rival, mad Florida fan was really hoping LSU could do what the Gators could not.

Year after year they are left talking about how Mullen will get the job done “next year” or the far more popular “we played with Georgia for three quarters.”

I wish I could say that I feel sorry for the little guys, but I do not. I remember growing up and watching the Bulldogs get thrashed by Florida year in and year out. Now it is their turn to feel the pain that I did back then. Throw your fit, cry your eyes out, scream until you are hoarse, but there is no end in sight.

That is why they are mad. That is why they troll Georgia’s fanbase. Misery loves company and they are drowning in their own tears. Let that anger and hatred flow Florida fan.
