10 things Georgia football fans can do during quarantine
Georgia football fans practicing social distancing can occupy their time with these things.
Like most people these days, Georgia football fans are practicing social distancing, staying at home, following shelter-in-place orders and becoming best friends with their sofas or recliners.
It’s become a life of tedium and different routines, with electronic devices suddenly taking on a whole new level of importance.
When you aren’t busy playing video games or binge-watching The Office for the umpteenth time this week, here are a few items to help keep you occupied and to fill your day with some UGA football fun.
One thing you can do this weekend is to watch the Virtual G-Day Game (aka the third consecutive all-time win over Notre Dame in 2019) on the SEC Network. The game will be broadcast at 2 pm ET, with Twitter commentary from head coach Kirby Smart. Beyond that, here are a few suggestions.
Social Distancing Activities for Georgia Football Fans
Download all the Redcoat Band tracks from the iTunes or Google Play store, grill some food in your backyard, and have a virtual tailgate party on Saturday morning before the Virtual G-Day game.
Start a chain email with all your fellow Georgia fans, petitioning the SEC and AAC to swap Vanderbilt for UCF in the SEC East.
Prank call every Florida fan you know with the following:
UF Fan: “Hello?”
You: “Does your refrigerator run well?”
UF Fan: “Umm. Yes.”
You: “It just committed to UGA”
Adopt a dog from Georgia English Bulldog Rescue. We can all use a new friend during this difficult time, and what better friend than a big, loveable, slobbery Bullie!
Start a burner Twitter account promoting a new Georgia Tech podcast, and then link it to a YouTube playlist of every Georgia win over the Yellow Jackets in the last 20 years.
Actually learn the words to the Georgia Alma Mater, Hail to Dixie (the official fight song), and Going Back. It can all be found right here.
Go online and book your trips for Atlanta on December 5, Pasadena and New Orleans on Jan 1 (you’ll have to eventually cancel one of those) and Miami on Jan 11.
Book an online therapy session with any therapist who graduated from The Univerity of Alabama, and then spend the entire time staring blankly into the camera, occasionally muttering “Tyler Simmons was not offside.”
Bake some UGA themed cookies and put a few each in some plastic baggies to give to your neighbors. There are some great ideas for lots of different cookies on Pinterest.
