Georgia Football’s future is bright at the quarterback position, and no we’re not talking about Brock Vandagriff being already on the team. Bulldog commit, Gunner Stockton went on a tangent during Rabun  County’s victory over Pace Academy Saturday night.

The two teams were part of the GEICO ESPN High School Football kickoff weekend that featured seven games from top programs across the United States.

Stockton is a senior, who has started all four years for the Wildcats and continues to break the mold of just how much offensive production one quarterback can have.

Through his first three years, Stockon completed 642 of 942 passes for 9,518 yards,  122 touchdowns and just 16 interceptions. He has a 68% completion rate, and averaged 238.3 passing yards a game.

Yes, those are real numbers and not NCAA Football video game statistics.

Oh yeah, he isn’t just a pocket passer either, Stockton can tote the rock as well. He has 467 carries for 3,416 yards and 62 rushing touchdowns through his junior season. Those numbers mean he averages 7.3 a carry and 84.67 yards a game.

This young man is extremely talented and continues to prove why he ranks on the 247Sports Composite rankings as the No. 44 overall, No. 5 quarterback and No. 4 player in Georgia.

With three seasons of that much offensive production under his belt, it isn’t surprising at all that he put up a big number.

Stockton scored seven touchdowns and accumulated 487 yards of total offense himself   — soak that in a minute.

He has accomplished these kinds of numbers a handful of times the last three years, but doing it on national TV hits a little differently.

As a junior, Stockton had eight games with at least five total touchdowns. In his sophomore year, he had five games with at least six total touchdowns and as a freshman, he had six games with at least five touchdowns. He is truly an offensive machine.

Stockton’s numbers are truly mindblowing and should excite all of Dawg Nation. You have to think that head coach Kirby Smart and his staff were drooling over his performance on Saturday.

Now there is a lot of football left for Stockton this season, but after his first three years, there is no telling what his offensive numbers will look like come December. What’s even better about Stockton is his attitude and selflessness. He is a competitor, but not a primadonna, which Georgia needs at this position because it’s loaded down with talent.

Georgia football has a playmaker on their hands and the coaches had to be drooling at what he did on the field Saturday night. While there is Brock Vandagriff already at Georgia, Stockton is showing the world what he is capable of doing.
