We did it. We made it through the long, dry valley of the work week with no Georgia football and now the time is here . . . It’s Saturday in Athens!

If you’re heading to the game, don’t forget, it is a Red Out at Sanford Stadium so dress appropriately. If you’re watching the game at home, show your support and solidarity and go red head-to-toe.

As you get ready for the Dawgs SEC opener Saturday night, get yourself caught up on the takeaways from Georgia’s home opening win over UAB:

In addition to tailgating today, there will be some cool activities for Dawgs fans to partake in throughout the day.

Head to the Red Zone in downtown Athens to see Georgia football legend Lindsay Scott. He’ll be signing autographs from 1-3 pm. “Run, Lindsay!” would be an excellent inscription on your football or helmet.

Dawgs football legend Lindsay Scott will greet fans and sign autographs this Saturday from 1-3pm at The Red Zone. 186 E. Clayton St. Downtown Athens.

Azeez Ojulari continued his early season tear, registering his second sack of the season for the New York Giants in their Thursday night game against the Washington Football Team. Not having a game this weekend gave Azeez the opportunity to return to Athens for his alma mater’s SEC opener. He’ll be at the bookstore today along with Coach Dooley signing autographs.

Fire up the grills, fill the Solo cups, crank up the volume and rejoice, it’s Saturday in Athens – Go Dawgs!
