Georgia football welcomed ESPN College GameDay to Athens on Saturday for the Arkansas game. The Dawg fans showed up early and produced some of the best GameDay signs of the seasons we’ve seen so far.

First off, ESPN nailed it with their guest picker selection in Harris English, and then the fans really played into the Arkansas pig theme.

There were plenty of bacon signs, JT Daniels digs, some terrible signs claiming Georgia’s coming for Alabama. First off, the Dawgs have to get through Florida, and Alabama has to get through Ole Miss this week before either can worry about each other.

Sometimes Georgia fans get ahead of themselves, but those folks will eventually learn.

Then the best sign came on the screen, playing off the “This Little Piggy” nursery rhyme. I’m mad at myself that I  didn’t think of that myself, so kudos to the fans that crafted the perfect sign that I’ve seen through the first five weeks of GameDay.

The Walmart and pork jokes were good, but this sign is the perfect amount of witty, cleverness and how all Dawg fans feel after what seemed like the longest wait of the year. This week has dragged on because so many Arkansas fans decided to talk smack.

In short, they think because the Hogs beat Texas and Texas A&M, they are elite and one of the best teams in the country.

While I’ll give the Hogs credit for winning two massive games, they’ve gone 8-35 in conference games since 2016, so maybe just take a deep breath and be glad Sam Pittman is turning the program around.

So this sign makes all that smack talk better because it plays into all the teams Arkansas fans say Georgia played but weren’t good. However, the fact they included the Hogs squealing all the way home makes me happy and warm inside.

Georgia fans finally nailed the GameDay signage, producing the best one of the season, and it’s going to take a lot for me to change my mind. Well done, Dawg fans. I hope I  get to shake whoever crafted this piece of art hand one day.
